Amazon, Google lead global smart speaker market, Apple fourth
London: Amazon and Google are in top position in selling the Smart Speake’s. Both companies gained 70 percent of the smart speaker’s exports in the first quarter of 2018. According to the Friday report, Apple holds the fourth place in this segment. The latest report reveals that Apple sold 600,000 home pods.
According to market research, the exports of global smart speakers in the first quarter reached to 9.2 million units. With 43.6 percent market share Amazon hit four million speakers and hold the top place. Four million speakers made a shipment. Global market share, however, declined significantly over the year 2017. Google sacked a 26.5 percent stake in 2.4 million sales, making it second. China e-commerce giant Alibaba reached third place with 7.6 percent market share.
Apple is the fourth largest smart speaker brand in the world with six percent shareholders. David Watkins said the share was down to 84 percent from 94 percent in the same quarter last year. Also in China, Alibaba and Shawnee have emerged domestically and globally hold the top-five position. The keyboard, mouse, and touch screen replace the voice mode interaction technology is no longer available.
