Apple founder Steve Jobs’s BMW Z8 hits the auction block
Sotheby’s auction company announced that it would keep in auction a BMW sports car that was used by Apple’s founder-maker Steve Jobs. It is estimated that car could be saled for Rs.2.6 crores in auction. Steve purchased the car in October 2000. He used it up to 2003. Later he sold it to a person from Los Angeles. Oracle’s CEO Larry Ellison said it was keen to get the car.
Steven Paul Jobs was an American entrepreneur, business magnate, inventor, and industrial designer. He was the chairman, chief executive officer (CEO), and co-founder of Apple Inc.; CEO and majority shareholder of Pixar; a member of The Walt Disney Company’s board of directors following its acquisition of Pixar; and the founder, chairman, and CEO of NeXT. Jobs and Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak are widely recognized as pioneers of the microcomputer revolution of the 1970s and 1980s.
