“Be Fair,” Centre Tells Supreme Court, Rejecting Judge Pick
Setting up a huge encounter with the legal, the administration has made the remarkable stride of sending back one of the two names recommended for promotion as Supreme Court judges, urging the collegium or gathering of five most senior judges to be “objective and fair” and rethink their decision of Uttarakhand Chief Justice KM Joseph. Equity Joseph’s name was not suggested “in terms of seniority and merit and fair representation,” the government has said according to sources. Indu Malhotra, the second name suggested by the best judges, was cleared yesterday, three months after the two names went to the inside for endorsement. The delay prompted senior judges to write to the Chief Justice expressing concern over interference. Have a look at this video.
And most of the media, ex-judges who till yesterday were claiming Congress attacked judiciary due to impeachment are SILENT MODE on this news !! 😷😷
