Cabinet approves Central University in Andhra Pradesh
NEW DELHI: The Center has given a green signal to the creation of a central university in Andhra Pradesh. The decision was taken by the Union Cabinet on Wednesday. The decision to set up a central university is based on the assurances given in the division of the state. The university was named ‘Andhra Pradesh Central University’.
Ananthapur district Varsity will be set up with 902.07 crores. Decided to continue the varsity in temporary buildings until complete construction of the buildings. The Department of Human Resource Development has been advised to monitor the funding process for this varsity. Cabinet decisions were made by Union Minister Ravishankar Prasad.
