England all rounder Ben Stokes arrested for Bristol brawl, cricketer to miss 4th ODI vs West Indies
The England all rounder Ben Stokes was arrested by police. He was interrogated on Monday morning in Bristol. He was released in the evening without any charge. In the context he missed to play in the fourth ODI against West Indies at the Oval on Wednesday. Even Star batsman Alex Hales also does not play. Hales, who accompanied Stokes in the Bristol case, also went to Interrogation to cooperate with the police for trial. Hales was also involved in the incident but was not arrested.
“Ben Stokes and Alex Hales will not be available for tomorrow’s one-day International match against West Indies at The Oval,” ECB director of England cricket Andrew Strauss said while reading out a board statement to reporters at The Oval on Tuesday.
After a third match against the West Indies, Ben Stokes and Alex hales went to nightclub for party. Incident happened in the night club. According to a statement released on Monday by Avon and Somerset police, “A 27-year-old man was found to have suffered facial injuries and was taken to the Bristol Royal Infirmary for treatment. Stokes was arrested on the basis of his information. After the interrogation he was released without any charges.The 26-year-old Ben Stokes has a history of poor behaviour. In 2013, Stokes was sent home from an England Lions tour over late-night drinking.
