Suprem Court Extends Aadhaar Linking Deadline

The Supreme court has extended the deadline for linking Aadhaar with bank accounts and mobile phones, PAN to avail their services on Tuesday. If you are getting a message from telecom or other services you can ignore them at least for some more time. The mandatory Aadhaar linking deadline has been extended until the supreme court judgment is announced on a batch of petitions challenging the constitutional validity of the biometric identification scheme which is headed by Chief Justice Dipak Misra.

As per the reports, Aadhaar is mandatory for welfare schemes, as well as essential services like banking to find out the black money. Now, the Centre was planning to make it mandatory to link Aadhaar with driving license, Tatkal passport, Phones and voter ID cards, among other things. Have a look at this video.
